On the other side of the highway rests a dried up lake with a small collection of houses and abandoned community lots surrounding it. This side is based on Palm Springs, California, a desert resort and famous playground for the rich and famous in the 1950s and 1960s, an inspiration that can be seen in the mid-century modern architecture and the abundance of palm trees and wind turbines. One side is a resort town, set at the edge of a beautiful blue lake.
Lucky Palms is actually two towns in one, segregated by a highway.
